Tell us a little about yourself!
I'm a public school teacher for NYC and have been quarantining and teaching. However, I also am in direct sales and would like to use that to give back! Several people in my family are healthcare workers and I think about them daily. I'm lucky to be safe at home and thankful for all of those workers!
Tell us about your #MakeWaves project.
I work for a direct sales company. I am making care packages of a muscle relieving gel and lip balm from my company to drop off at my local hospital for those working on the front lines to get a little relief. Normally the cost of these products would be around $45 dollars, but I am giving up my commission in order to make these products at cost for those to donate. With the $100, I would be able to add 5 care packages to my currently 3 to help out some healthcare workers. I can't do a lot, but I am doing what I can!
Who inspired you?
My local healthcare frontline workers dealing with COVID19 and all of my family and friends working in healthcare.
We ALL have something to give during these times: a smile, a hello from afar for your grocery store clerk, a rainbow in the window of you house, the list goes on! It doesn't take money to make a difference. Pay it forward!
